ILLEGAL DUMPING
If you encounter illegal dumping in Oakland Chinatown, please report it to Oak311. Oak311 is the City of Oakland’s service for addressing infrastructure issues such as illegal dumping, potholes, broken traffic signs, damaged garbage cans, and abandoned vehicles. You can report non-emergency issues online or through the Oak311 mobile app.
For urgent matters, call 311 or (510) 615-5566.
COMMUNITY SAFETY
At the Oakland Chinatown Improvement Council (OCIC), community safety is one of our highest priorities. We work hand-in-hand with the City of Oakland, the Oakland Police Department (OPD), MACRO, and local groups like the Toishan Benevolent Association to help keep our neighborhood safe. Through daily walks and active reporting, our community comes together to support a safer, more welcoming Chinatown for everyone.
